TRNSMT Festival announces additions to the 2020 lineup

Music lovers rejoice, as Glasgow’s annual TRNSMT festival has announced some exciting new additions to its 2020 lineup, including Scottish sensation Amy Macdonald.
A whopping 50 new acts have today been announced to join the main lineup, with TRNSMT 2020 shaping up to be a definitive weekend in the summer festival calendar. Amy, alongside acts including AJ Tracey, Loyle Carner, Dermot Kennedy, Jimmy Eat World, Declan McKenna and many more, will be joining headliners Lewis Capaldi, Liam Gallagher and Courteeners at the three-day festival on Glasgow Green.
The full weekend is stacked with some of the biggest names in modern music too, with other acts playing over the weekend including Ian Brown, Foals, Snow Patrol, Rita Ora, Sam Fender, Blossoms and Aitch.
Speaking about playing TRNSMT 2020, Amy Macdonald said: “This will be my first TRNSMT and it’s amazing to be able to play a huge festival in the middle of my home town which has become such an important showcase for Scotland’s rich musical talent. I’m so excited to be back in front of the great Glasgow crowd and relish the challenge of proving just how much women can really rock on the big festival stage.”
Kicking off on Friday 10 July until Sunday 12 July, tickets are available to buy at trnsmtfest.com. Day tickets for Sunday 12 July have already sold out so move fast, as weekend passes and two-day tickets are still available, and day tickets are available for the Friday and Saturday shows. Prices start from £62.50 for day tickets, with weekend passes costing £165.
